Thanking an important person

Sigh. My last post got some debate going. So I am putting up a non controversial one this time....It's something that occurred to me, nothing that I can expand without sounding like a sap. I just hope it speaks to whoever reads this entry. I guess every one must feel like that at some point?

There are 6.7 billion people in the world. My estimate is that I know, or have met, say 2 thousand. Most of them i hardly ever think about, some I rather dislike, while others I admire and appreciate, and some, I love. Thats people known to me. Everyone else in the world I will ever meet is a potential to fall into one of these categories. They say everyone you meet changes your life in some way, big, or minuscule. I believe it. I know there are 6.7 billion people in the world. But the specific knowledge of someones existence makes my world different from what it was before I knew THEY existed. Sometimes people give you a hope for better things. If there is someone like them in the world, there must be a few more for sure, only I never guessed. And what a wonderful place the world is then, much better than I had thought before I knew of YOU.

I don't believe in God but I thank whatever strange chance or fate that crossed my path with yours, you may think you gave me sadness, but that is not true, all I got from you is joy. Every day I think of you and what a wonderful person you are, and how lucky I am to mean something to you, and how wonderful a world is that contains you. Some friendships last forever, some people can be trusted blindly, some people on earth stop you from being lonely even when you are in a room alone. Thank you for being that for me.

  1. I've had these debates in my head about God and when you said it so plainly that you don't believe in him, I felt like less of a sinner. There, you already affected my life :) And I know you.. well, not in person.. But I used to go to your mummy's store.. and I kinda know your parents.. Well I saw you in school too.. During those changangkha days.. I am three years your junior and I know you don't know I exist.. well, until now i guess.
    keep writing :)
